Sam Sweeney is widely regarded as the finest fiddle player of his generation. A member of Bellowhead and Leverett, Sam is now an acclaimed solo artist, blending English fiddle with cinematic composition and innovative ensemble work.
The Sam Sweeney Trio brings together three of the UK’s most compelling folk musicians to play music from across Sam’s discography. Ben Nicholls (double bass), long-time collaborator of Seth Lakeman, brings groove and drive to the trio, and rising star Louis Campbell, adds colour, edge & technical excellence on guitar.
Together the trio craft a sound grounded in English folk tradition & alive with contemporary energy.

Described as ‘Manchester’s Finest Son’, Robbie Cavanagh brings accomplished Americana to Bristol.
Recipient of the Bob Harris ‘Emerging Artist Award’, at the Americana Music Association UK, Robbie performs unscrubbed tales of heartbreak, love, loss and discovery.
A modern-day troubadour, Robbie has played across Europe and the US, performing alongside artists including Mary Gauthier, Us The Duo and Beth Nielsen Chapman.
Robbie writes with honesty, emotion & most importantly, instinct.

Rising local four-piece Âellin open Saturday at St George’s.
Fronted by cellist & singer Sian Magill, Âellin are an intricate blend of fingerstyle and jazz guitar, folk cello and violin (grounded in UK and Hardanger traditions), double bass, sub-bass & beat-driven percussion.
Their debut album ‘Constellations’ draws on literary influences and rich soundscapes. Take a journey through dream states, collective memory, and the unconscious realm.

The Saturday Day session runs from 1.30 pm – 5 pm at St George’s Bristol. Saturday Day tickets give you access to all the artists listed above. Seating is available.
