Ranagri

Fatea Magazine ‘Band of the Year’ (2022), Ranagri hail from Ireland & England & weave a mesmerising mix of harp, guitar, bouzouki, flutes, voals & bodhran.

Classically trained with a contemporary folk twist, Ranagri are as happy to make you dance, as they are to make you smile, or shed a tear.

Acclaimed albums include ‘Playing for Luck’, ‘Fort of the Hare’ & ‘The Great Irish Songbook’ (with pop legend Tony Christie).
Alongside Donal Rogers, Jordan Murray & Eleanor Dunsdon, Ranagri is home to the remarkable Eliza Marshall, an award-winning musician who has collaborated with Catrin Finch, Peter Gabriel & performed as a soloist with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

“You’re unlikely to hear anything more irresistable, or more folky this year ” Louder Then War

Rachel Baiman

Raised in Chicago, Baiman made her way to Nashville at 18 with the dream of being a professional fiddle player. Instead, she’s slowly becoming the voice of a generation.

Steeped in bluegrass & folk, Baiman’s latest release ‘Common Nation of Sorrow’ chronicles a USA (& world) in crisis. Economic injustice, intergenerational trauma & the rise of Elon Musk, are all laid bare, with humour & humanity.

Baiman’s skill as a musician (banjo, fiddle, guitar, vocals) has seen her record with the likes of Kacey Musgraves & Molly Tuttle, but it’s her voice & warmth that marks her a standout artist.

“iconoclastic folk, that will be handed down in song and record for generations” American Standard Time

Around About Dusk

Are you ready for an adventure? Around About Dusk lead audiences on a magical journey through European Folk, New Orleans Jazz & old-time influences.

From European festivals to gatherings around English campfires, Rachel Lawrence (vocals, accordian) & the band (double bass, trumpet, clarinet) are fast becoming one of Bristol’s favourite exports.

‘Haunting melodies, tightly laced harmonies & rich vocals weave stories about wonder & nature with echoes of cabaret, chanson, early jazz & folk shifting around like growing shadows. Could be a new favourite band for you…’ Steve Henwood, Programmer Glastonbury Festival
